Abstract

Plastic bonded explosive was prepared by solution-watersuspension method using 2,2′-4,4′-6,6′-Hexanitrodiphenyl sulfide (PCS) as the explosive, ethyl acetate asthe solvent, vinylidene fluoride perfluoralkyl copolymer and vinylidenefluoride cholrotrifluoroethylene copolymer blend as the binder, and paraffinwax as the desensitizer. The detonation performance, thermal stability, mechanical sensitivity, compatibility and mechanical properties of thisexplosive were tested. The results show that at ambient temperature andpressure(250-300MPa), the pressing density of this explosive is more than 1.74g·cm-3(96%TMD), the detonationvelocity is over 7200m/s, and both the impact sensitivity and the frictionsensitivity are lower than 10%. Heat resistence experiments show that thisexplosive is stable at 200℃ for 48h.
