Abstract

嘀攀氀漀挀椀琀礀 changeof granular swarm dispersed by explosion was studied theoretically andexperimentally in order to assess particle kinetic characteristics. Aluminum,soap and multi-layer-paper targets were used in the experiment to record theterminal effect of particles, and a high-speed-camera system was applied forthe calculation of particle cloud boundary velocity. The kineticcharacteristics of the granular swarm were deduced from the target records. Theresults showed that the multi-layer-paper target record was more suitable toreveal the distribution of particle velocity than that of aluminum target, andit was more convenient to be processed and stored. The multi-layer-paper targetmethod was convenient and effective for the assessment on kinetic characteristicsof granular swarm dispersed by explosion, and the assessment indexes includedparticle number density, particle velocity (or specific kinetic energy) and itsdistribution.
