Abstract

SnO2-Cu2O/CNTs compositecatalyst was prepared by integrate infusioning method with liquid phasedeposition method under normal temperature and normal pressure using copperchloride dihydrate, stannic tetrachloride pentahydrate, and carbon nanotubes asthe reactant. The catalyst was characterized with XRD,SEM, TEM and EDS. Thecatalytic effects of catalyst on the thermal decomposition of FOX-12 wereinvestigated by DSC. The test result showed that SnO2 and Cu2Onanoparticles were attached on carbon nanotubes throughout evenly in ovalmorphologies with 5-10nm in diameter. The catalyst can make the decompositionpeak temperature of FOX-12 decrease, the decomposition enthalpy increase andthe apparent activation energies decrease. When the mass ratio of FOX-12 withcatalyst was 5∶1, catalyst made the thermal decomposition temperature ofFOX-12 shift downward by 18.08℃ and the decompositionenthalpy increase by 148J/g.
