Abstract
In this paper, penetration depth and opening problems of 45# steel ingot target caused by three kinds of rod-shaped jet formed by the single-layer titanium alloy hemispherical liner, titanium alloy/copper and aluminum alloy/copper double-layer hemispherical liner were studied by numerical simulation and steel target penetration test. The results show that different types of rod-shaped jets have a direct influence on the aperture and penetration depth of the 45# steel ingot target plate. Penetration depth of titanium alloy/copper double-layer rod jet has a relative increase compared to aluminum alloy/copper doublelayer rod jet, and the aperture increases significantly. The whole velocity of the single layer titanium is the largest, and the aperture is higher than that of titanium alloy/copper and aluminum alloy/copper double layer rod jet, but the armor capability is low. The results of this paper have a certain guidance on the design of weapon warhead.
