本文从Sprite(Signal Processing in the element)探测器的工作原理及载流子输运理论出发,分析了调制传递函数(MTF)与探测器材料、工作条件、几何形状及尺寸的关系。指出沿探测器长度方向的空间分辨率主要是非平衡载流子浓度的扩散运动确定的。导出了探测器的MTF的数学表达武,并进行了分析。讨论了改善MTF和空间分辨率的途径及存在的限制。指出了Sprite探测器设计与制造的优化方法。
Abstract
On the basis of the operating principle and transport theory of the carrier,this paper describes the relationship existing between the MTF of a sprite detector in relation to the detector material the operating conditions and the geometry and size of read-out zone. It is shown that the spatial resolution along the length of the filament is limited fundamentally by the diffusive spread of the photogenerated carriers. The analytical representation of MTF of a SPRITE detector is given. Methods of improving the MTF and spatial resolution are discussed, together with the limitations and relevant contradictions. Also pointed out are ways of optimization in the design and realization of SPRITE detectors.
