Burning Mechanism of the End-Burnmg Propellant Grain Embedding Metal Fibers
用埋置金属丝的方法来提高端燃药柱发动机的推力是一种有效的方法。本文的目的在于阐明这种药柱的燃烧机理,以便为这种药柱的设计提供理论基础。文中详述了影响沿金属丝燃速的各种因素,并提供一些实验结果。实验研究表明,利用这种方法可以很大地提高燃速,并且借助于埋置不同的金属丝可以得到不同的燃速。因此,端燃药柱发动机推力的控制和调整可以利用埋置不同金属丝而得到。
One of the effective methods for increasing the thrust of the rocket motor with end-burning grain is to embed metal fibers along the longitu— dinal direction in the propellant grain. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the burning mechanism of this end—burning grain so as to provide a theoretic basis for designing this type of grain. In this paper, the factors influencing the burning rate along the fibers are detailed and some experimental results are presented. Experimental studies have indicated that the burning rate along the fibers can be greatly increased and different values of the burning rate can be obtained by embedding fibers of different metals. Therefore, the thrust of the rocket motor with end—burning grain can be controlled and modulated by means of using different metal fibers.
