Research on Measurement Method of Surface Strain of Double-base Propellant Grain

Abstract

In order to research the influence of pasting strain-gauge on measuring propellant surface strain,the relaxation and creep behavior of the double-base propellant were studied by tests.The stress relaxation modulus and creep strain were obtained respectively.The influence of strain-gauge on measuring propellant surface strain under creep conditions was analyzed by using the finite element method on the basis of obtaining stress relaxation modulus,and the obtained result was compared with the test data from the literature.The research shows that the strain-gauge measurement result has certain precision in a short time.The research offers the reference for contact measurement method producing error mechanism and value,and provides test basis for the accuracy of numerical calculation.
