Abstract

To solve the limitation that the hydraulic resistance coefficient in recoil brake is set to a constant value in traditional calculation model of gun recoil, a new method of movement simulation of gun recoil based on collaborative simulation of MATLAB and FLUENT was proposed. The recoil movement of gun and hydraulic pressure in recoil brake were calculated separately by MATLAB and FLUENT, which improves the accuracy of the coefficient. The simulation results are more accurate compared with firing test results and traditional engineering calculation results. The result indicates that the proposed method has higher accuracy, and it provides a new method for the calculation of hydraulic resistance in recoil brake.
