Structural Optimization for Base Plate of Mortar Based on HyperWorks

Abstract

To reduce the quality of a mortar base plate on the basis of ensuring reliable stiffness and strength,the structural optimization and lightweight design were carried out. The HyperWorks finite element software was used to simulate the stiffness and strength of mortar base plate under soil conditions. The method of searching the main stress path and modifying the stress concentration area structure was used to optimize the structure topology of base plate,and the structure was improved. On this basis,the size optimization of the main plate and socket of base plate was carried out by using the size optimization method. The finite element analysis was carried out to compare the plate before and after the optimization. The results of finite element analysis show that the strength of the optimized base plate greatly improves,and the weight of the base plate reduces.
