Abstract

Three kinds of external flow field of low-drag and long-range projectile at transonic and super?sonic speed are numerically simulated. The mach numbers are 0. 96, I. I ,and 2.5 respectively, the attack angle being 4°. The three dimensional Navier-Stokes equations with two-equation K-e turbulence models and implicit finite volume TVD scheme are applied. In order to avoid the zonal method,‘ 0 ’ type grid oi single zone is produced by algebraic arithmetic. The clear flow structures are obtained. The flow fields in me wind side and leeside show apparent unsymmetry. The surface pressure distnoution shows that the configuration of low drag and long-range projectile can improve the aerodynamic characteristics.
