Abstract

Using the technique of interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) in cooperation with blending, silicone IPN inhibiting materials were developed, and applied to solid propellant rocket motors. Reliable adhesion to double-base and modified-double-base propellants can be realized by means of cast-inhibition. Static firing of rocket motors showed that the motors worked normally , and that reliable anticombustion was attained with the inhibitor.
