Abstract

Presents the effect of tail sting and the angle of boat tail on the base pressure of a projectile in flight at supersonic velocities. The base pressure goes through a process of reduction and then an increase when the relative diameter of the sting changes from 0 to I. The angle of boat tail tends to increase the base pressure when the angle of boat tail is within the critical angle of separation.

Key words
