Transient Response of Weapon Compoments under Rotation Bending Impact

Abstract

A theoretical analysis, and numerical method for rotation bending impact of weapon components is established on the basis of Timoshenko beam equations. Effects of various impact conditions upon the transient response of a beam under rotation bend?ing impact are discussed and the transient response of a type of semi automatic rifle hammer is calculated. Numerical solution shows good agreement with test results.
